I talk to a lot of group practice owners at exactly this point, and the conversation almost always turns to hiring. Not because their hiring process failed. Because it was never designed for this stage. What got you your first five hires, often some combination of gut feeling, a casual conversation, and a good reference, is not enough once you're managing 12 people and trying to protect a culture you can no longer oversee by proximity.

One of the most honest parts of this spring season is the mixed feeling of wanting to move forward while also wanting to hunker down. There can be excitement about what is possible alongside a very real desire for stability. Both belong.
