WHAT MAKES AMBITION ALLIANCE DIFFERENT?
The Ambition Alliance Was Created for You

Here’s how we stand apart:
Small Group Size (6-8 Therapists)
You’ll never feel lost in the crowd. Every call gives you personal attention and space for your specific questions.
Live Coaching & Expert Guidance
Learn directly from me and trusted Canadian contributors who’ve built group practices and businesses in the Canadian context.
Coaching & Curriculum Hybrid
You’ll access a full library of templates and training, but the real magic happens in the live coaching calls, Voxer group, and your included 1:1 session.
Community Support
Build connections with like-minded therapists who will cheer you on every step of the way.
Momentum That Continues
Instead of finishing the program and wondering “what’s next?”, you’ll roll right into three months of the Group Practice Connection community so you keep growing with support.
With other programs, you’ll get education. With Ambition Alliance, you’ll get transformation — clarity, confidence, and a practice plan that works for you.

What will I learn in Ambition Alliance?
-
Led by Lisa Catallo and Marshall Stern, you will create your Business Blueprint. This week will be about identifying your ideal client and therapist, clarifying your vision for your business, and stepping into your role as a CEO
-
Creating and clarifying how your business will run is one of the first steps to building a business that works for you. Lisa will lead you through identifying the core systems for your group practice, and examples of wordings for your standard operating procedures.
-
After you have identified WHO you want to hire, we will dig into how you will bring them into your business. Lisa will walk you through the posting, interviewing and onboarding systems YOU want to simplify your life and instil confidence in your new team members.
-
So you have a plan for building a team, and now you need to bring in clients! Lisa will walk you through brainstorming a marketing and networking plan to bring in the ideal client for your practice and your therapists.
-
Rather than offering the same split that everyone else around you is doing, we will dig in and make sure that you are creating an offering that works for you and your business. Lisa will lead you through identifying your costs, how many sessions your therapists need to be seeing, and what compensation can look like for your business.
-
Planning ahead for the culture that you want for your group practice will help you create a place that you love and your therapists buy into. Lisa and Marshall will guide you through identifying who you want to be as a leader, and how to create the type of connection you want with your team.
Your Guides for Ambition Alliance
Lisa Catallo - Your Host & Guide
When I decided to build a group practice, I was excited but overwhelmed. I spent hours researching, reading, and networking, only to find that most resources catered to American therapists. Starting out, I relied on trial and error, advice from lawyers and accountants, and a lot of determination.
Fast forward seven years: I’ve built two successful Canadian group practices. One of them now operates across two locations with multiple disciplines, blending contractors, employees, and subletters. One thing that I’ve discovered in starting a group practice is that it can be really lonely. Being in private practice limits your contact with other therapists, and being a “boss” or owner of a group practice can narrow that opportunity for connection even more.
On top of that, there was no one out there who was Canadian and supported other Canadians who were wanting to expand their practices into a group practice.
Starting and managing a group practice can feel isolating, but it doesn’t have to be. That’s why I created this program—to help Canadian therapists like you succeed, connect, and grow.

Marshall’s experience and focus on leadership in small business, will help you start your group practice with your best foot forward. Create a business that works for you!
Alison Maratos - Contributor
Alison Maratos brings a wealth of knowledge as both a seasoned therapist and a successful group practice owner. With over two decades of clinical and leadership experience, she knows firsthand the challenges (and rewards) of growing beyond a solo practice.
Alison has supported countless therapists in building practices that honour their values while staying grounded in practical systems. She understands the fears that come with expansion—hiring, contracts, finances—and offers guidance that makes the process feel manageable and clear.
Her expertise in group practice development will help you avoid common pitfalls, strengthen your leadership skills, and create a practice that thrives without burning you out.
Not Sure If a Group Practice Is Right For You?
Maybe you’re interested in everything you’ve just read — but you’re still trying to decide if a group practice is the best route for you. The great news is that this program will provide you all of the information you need to make an informed decision.

FAQs
Is Ambition Alliance right for me if I’m just starting my private practice?
Ambition Alliance is designed for established therapists who are building or growing a group practice. If you’re brand new to private practice, our Accelerate Your Practice program is a better starting point.
Will this program help me make more money?
Yes. You’ll learn how to increase your income without adding more client hours—through stronger systems, clearer financial planning, and confident leadership that supports sustainable growth.
How much time will I need to commit each week?
Plan for about 2–3 hours per week between calls, implementation, and using the tools and templates. The program is designed to fit into your life while still moving you forward.
Do I have to be Canadian to participate?
Yes and no. Everything we teach is designed for the Canadian context—our financial systems, regulations, and realities as practice owners here. The foundations and concepts are applicable no matter where you live.
What if I’m not ready to hire yet?
That’s okay. You’ll still benefit from strengthening your systems, leadership mindset, and business foundation so that when you are ready to expand, the path will feel clear and doable.
What kind of support will I get?
You’ll have access to group coaching calls, a library of done-for-you templates, a Voxer group chat for between calls, and a supportive community of fellow Canadian group practice owners. You’ll also get direct mentorship and feedback so you’re never left figuring things out alone.
